Week 10, Term 2 - Weekly notices
Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),
I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.
We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.
During these sessions, children were asked to sit in Silence and Stillness with a Straight back and Say the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4 S words, this is what they are referring to.
Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school. It provides an opportunity to take a break and be still, in an otherwise very busy environment!
Thursday - PTA is hosting a disco which is going to be held from 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm. Students are to be at school no earlier than 5:30 please, unless their parents are helping to set up. Parents need to be at school before 7pm to pick their children up from the disco. See the poster below for more details.I hope you have a wonderful last week of term and a safe and happy holiday.
