Mufti day tomorrow

We have a mufti Day on Friday (tomorrow) and ask that children bring a gold coin. The proceeds of the mufti day will be donated to Apanui School which is the school in Whakatane that had a fire earlier on this week. The theme is House Colours so children come dressed in their House colours.  Here is a list just in case children are not sure which house they are in.

MacKillop - blue
Pompallier - green
Mill Hill - Red
Whakaue - yellow


There is also the usual sausage sizzle and Juicies.

Please remember to bring in your holiday reading log.  It is the draw at assembly tomorrow. - If you have lost yours, just write the books you've read on a piece on paper with your name and class on it.

Week 10, Term 2 - Weekly notices

   Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),  I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.  We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school. Weekly Notices - Term 1 Week 11

  Welcome to Week 11 April 12th - 16th Bonjour Parents and Caregivers We are about to commence the last week of Term 1, which will be followed by the beginning of two week's school holidays. It has been a busy term with lots of important learning and everyone is feeling ready for a break to recharge the batteries. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given your children, and the school, over the course of Term 1. Swimming is finished until Term 4 and children will not be required to wear a hat next term when outside.  On Sunday we had many of our students being confirmed and making their First Holy Communion. This is a very exciting time for them, please keep them in your prayers. Coming up this week: - No Swimming this week.  - Cricket on Monday. - Chess Club on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.  - Library and ICT Club on Thursday. - No assembly this week - Interschool Swimming Sports - Senior School Art Exhibition - Friday.
