12/09/2021 Tena Koutou, We’ve been back at school for two days and things have seemed to go quite smoothly. Thank you all for helping us make the transition back to school. Children seemed to be very excited with their return to school and back to some normality for them. Just a quick reminder that children are to take all rubbish home in their lunches and that chromebooks need to be charged. The children have been good with hand sanitizing and washing down of surfaces. This week is Maori Language Week: " Kia kaha te Reo Māori " - Make the Māori language strong. We will be doing some fun activities around Maori language.  The Virtual Assembly for this week if you didn't see it is  Here  .  Our library is on Wednesday, please remind your child to bring back their books.  Friday is ‘Wig Day’ please bring a wig and a gold coin donation all proceeds go towards Kids Cancer. Weekly Notices, Week 10, Term 1

  Welcome to Week 10 April 6, 2021   Good morning Whānau,  I hope you had a lovely long weekend with friends and family 😊 Last week we celebrated Palm Sunday and Washing of the Feet through liturgy. We also enjoyed our own version of The Last Supper before heading into Easter. These experiences were meaningful and reminded us all about the true meaning of Easter.  Coming up this week: - Swimming all week.  - Cricket on Wednesday. - Chess Club on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime.  - Library and ICT Club on Thursday. - Whakaue Golden Time on Friday. Students in this house can bring their colours to school.  Friendly Reminders: - Chromebooks need to come to school charged. As we are a BYOD school, many of our learning activities now require devices. Headphones are essential, please.     Tokelau Language Week Te vaiaho o te gagana Tokelau Mālo ni, This year’s theme for Te vaiaho o te Gagana Tokelau– Tokelau Language Week is Tokelau! Tapui tau gagana ma tau aganuku, i te manaola ma te lautupuola, which means Tokelau! Preserve your language and culture, to enhance spiritual and physical wellbeing. Swimming - Kahikitea will be swimming for the last 4 days of the week. It is very important that we take part in swimming, a note will be needed from home if the kids aren't swimming. Otherwise, they will be given spare togs. Swimming is part of our P.E. curriculum, the pool is warm and the kids will learn valuable swimming skills.  Library - Wednesday THE MONTH OF THE ROSARY.  This month is the month of the Rosary. Kahikitea is leading the Sorrowful Mysteries on Thursday.  JPC staff members are here tomorrow to conduct the Entrance Test for those students going to JPC next year.
