Mid week post

 Well done everyone with the creativity and enthusiasm that you are tackling online learning with.  I really enjoyed our Google Meeting this morning and everything worked smoothly for our Scavenger hunt.  It's been great to see joyful, smiley faces showing respect for those who are sharing by muting your microphone and leaving your camera on.

I loved the creativity shown with good ideas for crazy socks.  Beaude's banana socks were hilarious.  (I wonder if he ate his sock for morning tea?)

I have sorted out Mr. Tiedt's sock drawer and have quite a few pairs to bring to school for us to make puppets with.  Here is a link if you want to go making something out of old socks at home.

Week 10, Term 2 - Weekly notices

   Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),  I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.  We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school. It provides an opportunity to take a break and be still, in an otherwise very busy environment!  Things on this week: Wednesday   - Kapa Haka.                       - Principal's luncheon                      - Room 17 Library- please remember to bring your books to swap

Weekly Notices - Term 1 Week 11

  Welcome to Week 11 April 12th - 16th Bonjour Parents and Caregivers We are about to commence the last week of Term 1, which will be followed by the beginning of two week's school holidays. It has been a busy term with lots of important learning and everyone is feeling ready for a break to recharge the batteries. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given your children, and the school, over the course of Term 1. Swimming is finished until Term 4 and children will not be required to wear a hat next term when outside.  On Sunday we had many of our students being confirmed and making their First Holy Communion. This is a very exciting time for them, please keep them in your prayers. Coming up this week: - No Swimming this week.  - Cricket on Monday. - Chess Club on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.  - Library and ICT Club on Thursday. - No assembly this week - Interschool Swimming Sports - Senior School Art Exhibition - Friday.
