Week 4 Notices

Tena Koutou, to all our students and parents.

We had a wonderful Ascension liturgy on Thursday run by the Kahikatea team as well as Assembly on Friday run by Rooms 16 & 17.  Thank you to all our parents who came to watch. 

We also have Cross country this Wednesday in the afternoon. Children will get changed into their P.E. gear at the school before being transported to the Red Woods. More info below. Pick-up needs to be no later than 2:30pm. 


What's happening this week:

Wed: Library

Wednesday: Cross Country 

Thursday: Pentecost Liturgy 12:15 in the hall all parents are welcome

Week 6:

Mon: Queens Birthday No School

Fri: Feast of Sacred Heart Mass (Kahikatea Leading)

Please remind your child to charge their Chromebooks each night.

Please check with your child that their headphones are working. We still have some children without, it was on the stationery list for this year and very important to have at school. They can be purchased reasonably priced at Kmart, or the school ($8)

Cross Country 2021

Just a reminder that we have Cross Country this Wednesday 26th May 2021 for students in Kahikatea and Totara teams at the Redwood Forest.

All parents /caregivers who are transporting children to and from the event will have been notified. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have not been contacted about transport. All children are to be picked up from their classroom by 12:30.


Event overview:

12:30pm

Transporting children from school to the Redwoods Visitor Centre

1:00pm – 2:20pm

Marshalling in the forest on the day

2:30pm

Transporting those children who catch a bus or require after school care back to school



Children come to school in full uniform and change into P.E. gear for the afternoon events.

For the event students will need:

Running shoes & P.E. gear

Jersey

Drink bottle

Any medication required

Week 10, Term 2 - Weekly notices

   Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),  I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.  We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school. It provides an opportunity to take a break and be still, in an otherwise very busy environment!  Things on this week: Wednesday   - Kapa Haka.                       - Principal's luncheon                      - Room 17 Library- please remember to bring your books to swap

Weekly Notices - Term 1 Week 11

  Welcome to Week 11 April 12th - 16th Bonjour Parents and Caregivers We are about to commence the last week of Term 1, which will be followed by the beginning of two week's school holidays. It has been a busy term with lots of important learning and everyone is feeling ready for a break to recharge the batteries. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given your children, and the school, over the course of Term 1. Swimming is finished until Term 4 and children will not be required to wear a hat next term when outside.  On Sunday we had many of our students being confirmed and making their First Holy Communion. This is a very exciting time for them, please keep them in your prayers. Coming up this week: - No Swimming this week.  - Cricket on Monday. - Chess Club on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.  - Library and ICT Club on Thursday. - No assembly this week - Interschool Swimming Sports - Senior School Art Exhibition - Friday.
