Weekly notices - Week 2, Term 1

Welcome to Week 2.  We had a wonderful first day today with lots of lovely smiles and chatter.


 

It was an absolute pleasure meeting one on one with parents and caregivers last week and chatting with you about your child. Thank you all for taking some time out of your very busy schedules to come and meet with us. Thank you too for being organised with stationery and Chromebooks. 

We enjoyed a meaningful Waitangi Liturgy in the hall and welcomed our new students and teachers to our school.  We had two representatives from each class sign our Golden Rules Treaty.  Here are a few photos.










Just a few week reminders for the week:

No swimming this week, Middle School will be swimming on even weeks starting in Week 4

Friday: Golden Time Interschool House Competition Tug of War

The Diocese Commissioning Mass is on Thursday 18th February at 6.00pm in Tauranga

Don't forget your sunhat. Our sun is pretty strong this summer so we need to be extra careful.

Week 10, Term 2 - Weekly notices

   Te Ahiahi Pai (Good Afternoon),  I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine and are feeling recharged as we head into our last week of Term 2.  We have had a busy term with a variety of events and activities. It felt fitting that last week we practiced Christian Meditation. It was led by Sister Rachel and Sister Ema from the Sisters of Compassion in Wellington.  During these sessions, children were asked to sit in  S ilence and  S tillness with a  S traight back and  S ay the word Maranatha to themselves, meaning 'Come Lord Jesus'. If you hear your child talking about the 4  S  words, this is what they are referring to.  Christian Meditation is something we are going to continue to practice as a school. Weekly Notices - Term 1 Week 11

  Welcome to Week 11 April 12th - 16th Bonjour Parents and Caregivers We are about to commence the last week of Term 1, which will be followed by the beginning of two week's school holidays. It has been a busy term with lots of important learning and everyone is feeling ready for a break to recharge the batteries. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given your children, and the school, over the course of Term 1. Swimming is finished until Term 4 and children will not be required to wear a hat next term when outside.  On Sunday we had many of our students being confirmed and making their First Holy Communion. This is a very exciting time for them, please keep them in your prayers. Coming up this week: - No Swimming this week.  - Cricket on Monday. - Chess Club on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.  - Library and ICT Club on Thursday. - No assembly this week - Interschool Swimming Sports - Senior School Art Exhibition - Friday.
